Course Overview and Objectives

We're going to focus on three fundamental challenges that require awareness and a sensitive response:



• Know Your Self: Identifying my values, strengths and personality style and learning when, how and to what extent to adjust these. And, addressing critical weaknesses that can undermine effectiveness.
• Know Your Team: Learning to evaluate the maturity and competence of team members, individually and collectively, and
• Assess the Situation: Assessing the sensitivities of a given situation with awareness of your own bias and tendencies is quite challenging. How much risk is involved - really? How urgent is the situation? What would an excellent deliverable look like, in this situation?

A responsive leader has all of this in mind as they make intentional adjustments and apply a variety of leadership strategies skillfully in the given situation.
